Japanese Face Massage
The Japanese believe that beauty is more than skin deep, and that to be beautiful you have to be healthy too. The fantastic thing about Japanese face massage is that it works on many levels at the same time: By working superficially, we improve skin tone and lymph flow. By working with the musculature at a deeper level, we can affect muscle tone and general appearance By working with the meridians that run through the face, we can affect the balance of health in the whole body, as well as the flow of Ki specifically in the face. Many of the techniques can help to prevent lines, wrinkles, and puffiness - a natural facelift!
On this comprehensive 2 day course you will learn the four stages of Japanese Face Massage:
STAGE ONE - massage to the neck to improve circulation to the face.
STAGE TWO - a detailed face massage which affects the skin as well as the deep and superficial muscles of the face.
STAGE THREE - working on the meridians and thereby balancing energy and improving health throughout the body (includes 47 acupressure points).
STAGE FOUR - lymphatic drainage to encourage the elimination of toxins. You will also learn about the benefits of Japanese Face massage; background information on the physiological and psychological effects of the 8 meridians we work on; and some first aid uses of certain of the 42 acupressure points. There will also be plenty of time for practical work. There are written and practical assessments on the day. You will leave with a treatment that can stand alone and is very popular with clients; alternatively you may wish to integrate what you have learned into your current massage.
