Complementary Therapies welcomes students from overseas study with us. In the past we have had students from Japan, America, Portugal, Croatia, all of whom have been successful.

Why study with us?

We teach Holistic therapies. We believe that you can improve your health with the use of the Therapies we teach and we show you how.

This is very different from other mechanically run courses in Complementary Therapies.

Our classes are kept small. We allow a maximum of 14 students on our ITEC Anatomy & Physiology and 10 students on our Holistic Massage, Reflexology, and Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage classes where individual supervision is essential. We do not believe ANY tutor can effectively supervise more than 5 people working at a time (½ group working at a time). This compares very favourably with colleges where 20-30 students per class is normal.

Our Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage courses are backed up by a professionally shot Video. This means that you can review our massage sequence as often as you like in the comfort of your own home. As far as we know, no other local school offers this.

Practical exercises are given during the Aromatherapy and Reflexology classes where actual case histories are discussed. Unlike most schools, our tutors will guide you through treating various ailments.

We supply organic essential oils, cream, treatment couches, during our classes but student are requested to bring their own towels. We also provide refreshments during study breaks but ask students to provide their own food if they are with us for a full day.

The final choice is yours.

Diplomas

Last year 2/3rds of our students obtained a Credit or Distinction. Amazing results!

Our overall pass rate over the past 4 years is around 98% We are consistently praised by the ITEC examiners for our outstanding results and very high standards.

We must be doing something right

Candidates are assessed weekly and those who consistently meet our set standards will automatically receive our very own Complementary Therapies diploma in their chosen subject.

ITEC - what is it?

Candidates may sit the ITEC examination through our school and, if successful, gain an "ITEC" award. ITEC stands for "International Therapy Examination Council." The ITEC awards have been approved by the Qualification & Curriculum Authority (QCA) and by The Department for Education and Skills in the UK. Schools offering courses leading to ITEC vocational qualifications are assured that their students will have the soundest foundation for a career as a practicing professional therapist. ITEC Qualification are held by most of the leading therapy professionals practicing in Britain today.

ITEC has registered schools in Australia, Channel Islands, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Africa, Singapore, Spain and Zimbabwe. Every year, about 35,000 students graduate through ITEC. They are the largest Beauty, Complementary and Sports Therapy graduating body in Europe, not just an English body. This is a valuable consideration if you ever intend to travel abroad and practice.

ITEC being an independent body, their examination fee is payable by those wishing to take this examination.
